NSW: Torch continues journey along the North Coast

SYDNEY, Aug 28 AAP - An armada of hundreds of boats will greet the Olympic flame as
it continues its journey today from Newcastle to Gosford.

Aboriginal rugby star Stephen Ella will carry the torch in East Gosford while disabled
swimmer Robert Staddon, who won medals in swimming at the Los Angeles Disabled Games,
will have the honour on The Esplanade at Warners Bay.

An armada of hundreds of boats and sailcraft will arrive at Belmont and follow the
journey of the Olympic flame around Lake Macquarie.

The torch relay with pass through Merewether and Charlestown to Speers Point for a
lunch celebration, Belmont, Lake Munmorah, Doyalson, Noraville, The Entrance, Wamberal
and Erina before arriving in Gosford for the evening celebration.
