Vic: Train fire causes disruptions
Trains on the Melbourne to Sydney line were disrupted for several hours last nightafter a freight train caught fire.
An engine compartment of the goods locomotive caught alight near Kilmore, north ofMelbourne, shortly after 8.30pm (AEST).
The Country Fire Authority says firefighters had trouble battling the blaze becausethe engine couldn't be shut down and the engine kept pumping diesel to fuel the flames.
More than 30 firefighters fought the blaze, which was brought under control in about 30 minutes.
No one was injured in the fire.
